Social & Fundraising update
Last year we raised just over £1,600, which will be paid out to our three charities in the next few weeks. The guys will be completing their half marathon challenge as soon as government restrictions are lifted.
Fundraising/social events are very much put on hold at the moment due to social distancing, however we are going to try and do a raffle shortly, so watch this space.
Given that many people in our sector are struggling in one way or another during these strange times, we have decided to support GroceryAid this year. GroceryAid is the national charity which helps people across the whole of the grocery industry – from the largest factory through the supply chain, to the smallest store. It has provided emotional, practical and financial support for grocery people since 1857.
We will also be promoting the Headstrong Project, a local charity based in Shaftesbury. The Headstrong Project is breaking down barriers and raising awareness around mental health through original projects and events. If you have a special charity that you would like us to support please let us know.
